We are so excited to be welcoming Cantor Michal Rubin to help us with our services. Cantor Michal was a Cantor of a conservative synagogue in Columbia SC for the past 12 years. Of these 12 years she spent six of them as a cantorial student with Aleph and six as an ordained Chazzan. She has also served as a clergy, educator, an officiant and leader of many rituals at her synagogue. She has led High Holiday services (Rosh Hashanah and Yom kippur) for 12 years and was instrumental in programming them. And, of course, she led services during all the other holidays; taught a variety of classes as well as numerous Bar/Bat Mitzvah students.

"Holidays are all about the brisket and chicken soup, right? Well, the Jewish holidays can also be about healthful salads, cabbage strudel, luscious soups packed with veggies and even pomegranate topped cheesecake and sour cream apple coffee cake. We know the holidays can be hard for our friends who have special diets for whatever the reason. So if you are a vegetarian, or having vegetarians at your holiday meals this year, this round-up of colorful and delicious recipes is for you."
Rosh Hashanah begins on September 13. Check out these great Vegetarian recipes by myjewishlearning.com to celebrate the New Year with!
